Stand Up with Lead Up

A whole new take on the career fair…..

On December 12 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm Lead Up will offer North Star High School students the opportunity to discover their passion for service while exploring careers that align with their interests and talents.

We are seeking professionals from a variety of fields to participate in our hands-on, “fair-style” event, engaging students in career dialogue while working alongside them to complete projects that positively impact local and global needs.

Participating professionals will have the opportunity to network with engaged, interested students looking to learn more about the world of work. You’ll have a unique space to connect with young workers, inform their thinking about your profession, and start to build relationships that may result in future top hires. And of course, we promise some fun while helping others in need.

Here are some ideas…

Are you a dietitian, nutritionist or work in human performance? Talk to students about what you do and how you got your start while sending rice to the World Food Programme.

Health sciences professionals can recruit the next generation of best and brightest healers while getting artistic decorating a card for a hospitalized child.

If fashion is your field, you can help eager learners construct shoe kits for people in Uganda while exploring jobs in design, merchandising or production.

If you love your career and have a dedication to serving others, Stand Up with Lead Up is your event!  All you have to do is come and enjoy conversations with Lincoln’s next generation of leaders.  We’ll take care of the rest.

Interested in learning more or ready to sign up to serve? A full list of professions we are recruiting is provided below. If your sector isn’t represented, speak up. We’re open to your ideas!

Lead Up surrounds Lincoln’s young people with a network of professional leaders, a community of like-minded and motivated peers, and hands-on experiences and academic support to help get them to and through college and into career.
