Networking at North Star High School

Come share your career passion and help Lincoln’s future leaders learn to network!

Students often hear the phrase “it’s who you know, not what you know,”; but too
frequently the advice ends there – and the questions of “who to know” and “how to
meet them” remain unanswered.
At Lead Up, one of our primary efforts is to help our student leaders plant seeds before
they need to harvest them. We believe in teaching networking as a key piece of
preparing young people for college and success in the industries in which they want to
work.
Networking doesn’t have to be awkward or stressful – especially if you know how – and
we’re seeking experienced professionals who can help students practice the skills of
cultivating the relationships that will enable them to establish connections and
contribute to their communities.
Join us for an hour of networking with engaged, interested students looking to learn
more about the world of work. After a networking overview and some tips and
instruction, the networking will begin. You’ll have a unique space to connect with young
workers, inform their thinking about your profession, and start to build relationships
that may result in future top hires. And of course, we always strive to have some fun.
All you have to do is come and enjoy conversations with Lincoln’s next generation of
leaders. We’ll take care of the rest.

Here are the details.
